Senior Women

The Aurora Barbarians women’s teams compete in the Ontario Women’s League (OWL). Each team in this league fields a 1st and a 2nd team, which compete in double-headers throughout the season.

The 1st team and 2nd team practice together on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:45pm at Fletcher’s Fields in Markham. Games are played on Saturdays with kickoffs at 12pm and 1:30pm.

Players of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Registration can be arranged by contacting the Director of Senior Women's Rugby.


Head Coach: Michael Fealey

Michael came to the Barbarians in 2008. He lives in England during the off-season, where he is completing studies in Coaching Science at the University of Greenwich. Over the past four years, he has worked on developing total rugby in players of all levels.

Assistant Coach: Paul Loader

Paul has also been coaching with the Barbarians since 2008. He also coaches the Ontario U20 women’s team and has coached with various provincial programs over the last few years. He designs practices full of game-based activities.

Assistant Coach: Nathalie Bendavid

Nat has been a member of the Barbarians senior women’s team for over ten years. For the 2011 season, Nat will act as a player-coach, bringing expertise from her years of playing for the National Senior Women’s Team and Team Ontario.
