U12 IRB Level 1 Referees Clinic

Next weekend, Saturday and Sunday April 28th and 29th, there will be a referees clinic at the Sport Alliance of Ontario building for all club u12 coaches /managers. The clinic is normally $100; it is being provided free for any club members who are involved with u12s. It is a standard iRB level 1 course which will qualify you to referee any juniors games (club u14s, u16s, u18s or high school). The referees society will not be able to provide referees to officiate at u12 tournaments and the ORU wishes to ensure that all refs who officiate contact rugby (at any age grade) are properly qualified.

Also at this referees clinic copies of the new official ORU rules for u12 tackle rugby will be handed out, and there will be a session to cover these rules, which are based on, but differ significantly from the rules the u12s played under in 2006.

You can still attend the u12 and u14 meetings on Sunday morning at Sports Alliance, there will be no conflict
