Under 16 Men
Aurora Barbarians RFC (ABRFC) 7 vs Brampton Beavers 41

The Aurora Barbarians’ season ended Saturday with a loss to the Brampton Beavers in their divisional semi-final playoff game. Brampton had a big team, both in numbers and in size, and they were well-organized as well. They moved the ball well and distributed their attacks all over the field. Aurora fought hard, but were denied tries several times just short of the try line. They also had no subs, so it down to just the 15 players on the field to get the job done. Brampton poured it on throughout the game. They were up 24 – 0 at halftime and 41 – 0 near full time. With five minutes to go, the Barbs’ 8-man, Brian Yoksimovich, took the ball off the back of the scrum and drove nearly 20 metres. The scrum-half, Scott Quagliarini picked up the loose ball and pounced over the line. Leo Policelli kicked a nice convert from a tough angle.

Man of the Match honours go to Scott Quagliarini, Frank Walker and Leo Policelli. Heart Hurrahs go out to the other 12 players who left everything they had on the Brampton field.
