Men’s Third Team
Aurora ’s Third Team lost to the Toronto Nomads 3 by a score of 32 – 17 . The Nomads woke up in the second half to score three unanswered tries of their own. Scoring for Aurora were: Dino Manoukas, Bart Hennessey and Jon Taylor. Brian Dandrade kicked the convert. Men’s Second Team
The Aurora Barbarians 2 bounced back from last week’s loss to take a commanding win over the Nomads 2. The first half was a scoreless stalemate for the first 30 minutes before Aurora punched in the first try. The Nomads answered with two and the Barbs took one just before the whistle, leaving the score 14 – 12 in Aurora’s favour. The Barbs opened up in the second half putting across three tries in the first 10 minutes. The Nomads tried to rally but Aurora shut down virtually all their attacks. The final score was 38 – 22 . The try-scorers were: Kevin Riley, Paul Greenaway (also returning to Ireland this week), Drew Macpherson and a hat trick by 8-man Paul Payne. Bryn Davies kicked 4 converts.

Men’s First Team
The Barbs First Team trounced the Toronto Nomads 52 – 0 at Fletcher’s Fields on Saturday. Aurora’s attacks came from all positions and from all areas of the field and their defence was superb. Of note, one try came from a maul that Aurora rolled nearly 20 metres before Gian Montino touched it down. Another emphatic statement was a try scored when the scrum drove in 5 metres from a penalty. Aurora made excellent tactical decisions all afternoon. Tries were scored by: Damon Maclachlan, Simon McEacheran, Gian Montino, Andrew Ziricino, Nolan Ott, Marco DiGirolamo and Bryn Davies. Ziricino was also impressive by kicking 7 out of 7 converts plus one penalty kick.
