Game Report: June 29, 2006

Senior Men's 3rd Team
Aurora ’s Third Team lost a tough one to Nomads 3 on Thursday night at Fletcher’s Fields. The game was a make-up for a cancelled May game. The Barbs thought that it was going to be an easy one when they pushed up the field allowing Bart Hennessey to score off a grubber, all within the first minute of the game. The Nomads tightened up their defence and then ran some aggressive lines catching Aurora a bit flat-footed. The Nomads scored 3 tries to make the score 19 – 5 at the half. The Barbs re-grouped at halftime and came out more determined. Despite allowing the Nomads another try, they essentially took over and punched in 2 of their own. Unfortunately they just couldn’t connect for any more and eventually ran out of clock. The final score was 26 – 15 for the Nomads. Nevertheless, it was a good, tough match.
